Howdy,
I've got a Standard 4 fretless in the queue (see attached photo- vintage tint chambered ash body, lined ebony board, black hardware).
Anyone out there with a Sadowsky fretless, please post links to any audio files you have to keep me going during the wait!

I figured this would be a short thread... though I can't figure out why we don't see a lot more Sadowsky fretlesses. They make a GREAT fretless! Mine: Vintage 5 alder/ebony/fat stacks. I'm considering swapping the FSs for Big Singles. It sounds great but is a touch "polite".

I owned a fantastic PJ fretless and I'll own another one in the future. I only sold it because I'm playing more and more upright bass and didn't have the time to really work out on the electric.
Mine was ash/ebony with PJ pickups and was also routed for JJ.

Thanks guys- great "eye candy"!
I guess I'll just have to lay down a bunch of my own tracks once I get my fretless, and post them here!

I owned a fantastic PJ fretless and I'll own another one in the future. I only sold it because I'm playing more and more upright bass and didn't have the time to really work out on the electric. I discovered the same issue when I played DB + BG. It gave me an entirely new dimension of respect for the master "doublers" like Christian McBride, Avishai Cohen, John Patitucci, and Brian Bromberg. However, I decided to focus on the fretless rather than the DB, then sought out the best fretless for me/my voice... Since first playing my Metro RS4 in 2009 it became futile to consider any other brand. Coupled with Roger's top class customer service, placing an order for the fretless was a no-brainer.

whenever I decide to play fretless again the brand will be out of the question. ... I decided to focus on the fretless rather than the DB, then sought out the best fretless for me/my voice... Fine with me! We're here to have fun. So I won't fret... I'm fret-less.

Now belongs to me, here is Fran's old (well, 2009-8) fretless. Fran will have to find another one when he goes back to fretless again

I've got a standard 4 + lined ebony, natural/vintage tint + black HW in the queue that I imagine will look similar to your bass minus the PG and with 2 J pickups. Do you have any sound clips?

No clips worth publishing yet... You should expect no less than a totally killer fretless!
