fretless question

A quick one - what material is used for the lines on lined fretless boards?

Our white fret lines are plastic.  They are sold as faux clapboard siding for scale model buildings.

For a less bright line, we also use maple veneer and rosewood veneer.

I finally decided to try the bass with the JJ configuration. I also switched from TI flats to Sadowsky Blue Nickels.

     Happy to see that you're loving that fretless. If I weren't so busy with the upright it'd still be here with me.

Let us know how do you like it with the JJ config, but I can guess that you'll be going back to PJ soon.

It is really different now . With flats the P pickup sounded incredible active or passive. The J soloed sounded great but was a bit thin compare to the P.
I didn't dig so much both P/J blended.
Now with the Sadowsky nickels and J/J setup the bass sings regardless pickup selection. True, no fat-rich P sound, but I find this more suited to my needs and taste.
But it's great to know that I have the P option if I need it.
