Hello & Greetings to all.....

Newbie Checking for the first time. I have two WL-4 Metro's w/ maple necks. Number two just arrived last week. Let me tell you Roger and the folks at Sadowsky did a bang-up job. Everyone that has seen it are blown away by the craftsmanship.   Cool Cool

Well anyhoo....Tennessean here just wanting to say "Hey".

I own MS5, can I put on 4 string set + high C string?
Will it sound ok? Or do I need to change the nut??
The set will be
0.32,0.45,0.65, 0.85,100?

And when I adjust the Truss Rod, how big should the gap be between the 7th and 12th fret??
I read somewhere that it has somerhing to do with the neck radius?? MS5 has 12 radius?

Can the white border of the neck be omitted? Would certainly match better with the sienna burst finish...

Hello Mr. Sadowsky & staff ! Hello everyone ! I would like to ask about choices and preferences of Sadowsky's artists or other famous bass players who bring their instruments to Mr. Sadowsky workshop. Wink I'm very interesting about their strings choice, bass setup preferences, string height etc. Could you give me some specs please ? Wink Of course if it's not a secret or too much private info. Greetings from Poland !

Well said.

I have many reasons for sticking to my Sadowsky basses and I only ever plan to own Sadowsky instruments, unless I find a cool 8-10 string bass for noodling around on.

I'm even having extreme difficulty dealing with replacing my Sadowsky basses with more Sadowsky basses.  It's weird, but great.  My 4480 plays like a dream.  I'm trying to get my black one as playable as my blue one.  Might send it to the Sadowsky team for a setup soon.

Sage advice.  As much as I love wood finishes, if I buy a painted instrument, I leave it as is.

There is no doubt the nicest looking ash is reserved for natural finishes.  Paint grade ash might have some natural defects or other qualities that did not make it suitable for natural or burst finishes.
