1  Sadowsky Basses / Sadowsky Basses / Re: Help me love my M5-24 on: September 14, 2010, 06:53:51 PM
Steve,

Please let me know if you are going to list that bass for sale on TalkBass.

Also, what is the setup of that bass?  Modern 24-fret, I know, but does it have a maple or rosewood board, and what type of finish does it have?

Thanks, .... Doug

Genz Benz Shuttle (or Shuttle Max) -- I happen to have the Shuttle 9.0 -- with an Epifani 3x10 cabinet works for me!!!
FWIW, I'm really enjoying my GB Shuttle 9.0 - what a terrific amp.  I marvel at the sound, and then giggle like a schoolgirl at every load-in/out.  These days I'm mostly using one or two Bergantino HT112ER cabs, and I'm really enjoying the sound.  Plenty of oomph - to the extent there's occasionally too much low end - and amazing tone that cuts but still maintains the character of the bass.  My RV5 sounds terrific through this rig, as does the M5-24...even though I still prefer the Epifani cabs with that bass.

Yes, that Shuttle 9.0 is a fantastic amp, isn't it?  Once I got my passive (1966 Jazz Bass) and active (Sadowsky NYC 24-5) settings dialed-in, it's one awesome "set it and forget it" setup!

I'd love to see such a timeline as well.  I am the proud owner (and player) of a Sadowsky NYC 24-fret 5-string with a thick clear lucite mini-pickguard that is an original.  I know that my bass is an "oldie" (I knew the original owner, and a friend of mine is a Sadowsky dealer - both confirmed that it's a "classic").  The neck profile on my 24-fret 5 is a bit different from the recent-vintage 5-strings that I have played (NYC and Metro models), as mine is thinner front-to-back, but wider than recent necks -- or so it appears.

Regardless of the age and features, I am absolutely thrilled with my Sadowsky bass!
