The amp is 200 watts!!!

Unfortunately, due to lots of new environmental restrictions on metal plating, plating is not as good or durable as it used to be.   We had a really bad time with nickel plating the last few years so we have switched to chrome, which is much more durable.   I can sell you a set of chrome covers but you will have to take your guitar to a tech to have them installed.

Otherwise, any hardware store metal polish is fine.

There is no doubt the nicest looking ash is reserved for natural finishes.  Paint grade ash might have some natural defects or other qualities that did not make it suitable for natural or burst finishes.

Yes, we cut down humbucker pickups springs.

For a smaller tube amp, I personally like a Fender Deluxe Reverb, or a Carr Rambler.

Have you tried the AC adaptors we sell?   Even with our Sadowsky approved adaptors, in noise sensitive situation, we recommend battery.  But our AC adaptors in general are quiet.   Our pedal requires a linear regulated power supply.

We are currently using D'Addario Chromes....although I will be the first to admit they are a very different string than our flat wounds.
