About 8-10 years ago I tried the EBS Fafner head.
It was my #2 choice but  I opted for a Kern IP777 preamp-Crown K2 power amp setup instead because it sounded much better* to my ear. But the Fafner is/was very very nice.


*Clearer, more 3D, more open.

.....added a Soldano Lucky 13 head with the lead channel modded by Soldano for more fire.
Gorgeous tones.

Very cool.  Id like to do something similar but build it as a first generation P with the big pickguard.  Either blond or 2 color burst.  Freakin hot
