I was thrilled to see Jason Newsted perform with Metallica at the 2009 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Awards.

![]()

Reuters News reported: Newsted is shipping in the amplifier rig he used during his tenure in Metallica, as well as the Sadowsky five-string bass that he notes "has played more songs for Metallica than any other bass instrument in the world." The group plans a sound check/rehearsal for Friday night, then will play "something old (and) something new" on Saturdaythough both songs will be from Newsted's tenure with the band. "One louder than the nextthat's all I know," he said with a laugh.
I am honored by Jason's comments and very proud of our association with him.

Tal Wilkenfeld has been very busy.
She's been touring with Jeff Beck (including performing at his induction at The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame) and sitting in with the Allman Brothers during their annual residency at The Beacon in NYC. She also squeezed in a guest appearance on The Jimmy Fallon Show.

Chuck Loeb releases "Presence."
“Nowadays, there’s a lot of music that gets created in a laboratory,” says Loeb, who enlisted musicians various incarnations of his live band to craft the album. “We all have computers, and we do things long distance. But it never ceases to amaze me how, as soon as you put the live musicians into the equation, it’s their presence that brings the thing to life. That’s the idea behind the album title the effect that an individual’s personality has on the music, both in the context of a recording and in a live setting." | Read More
